  Born in a colony on a planet several thousand lightyears away from Earth, Newt has no exact date for when he was born, given that he's time-travelled a great deal, the timezones are rather difficult to calculate, and he doesn't actually really care- that said, if pressed he'd probably put the estimate at about three thousand years on from the modern day.
  As a teenager, he was rather rebellious and, while digging around in his family's attic- which had been locked away and not entered for years- he found a small, semi-complete time-travelling device. After fixing it up, he began to use it for small jumps back in order to ace exams and other mostly insignificant things.
  
  It was several years before he started making bigger jumps, travelling to distant times in his own planet's history. It was after one such jump that he realised the potential for good such a device could have, and altered it to allow him to travel distances as well.
  With this new alteration, he began exploring the universe, gradually travelling further and further away until he reached Earth. There, he rather fell in love with his ancestors and their way of life, and swore to protect the planet from other aliens who wished it harm.
  
  Newt met Haley when she was hunting a werewolf; the pair hit it off and finished the hunt together. Realising they worked well together, they formed Graco, to prevent aliens and supernatural creatures from interfering with Earth life and history. Gradually, they gathered the other members, and their polyamorous relationship soon formed. Shortly afterwards, they merged into a branch of Espero, although they have fairly minimal interaction with the main organisation.
  
  Newt has a strong moral code which prevents him from interfering with anything other than extraterrestrials and supernaturals which threaten the natural order of history.
